The exhibition, organized as part of the Bormida Gotica project by Parco Culturale Alta Langa association, features 20 works of pictorial photography, offering a deep and articulate insight into the rich cultural and historical panorama of the Bormida valley during the Gothic period, an era where art and spirituality intertwined in an intricate mosaic of meanings and symbolism. The setup design takes inspiration from small rowing boats that, until the late 19th century, ferried people and goods along the two branches of the Bormida river.  The structure, made of fir wood, have 14 portals of 30 cm x 2 meters and it extends for about 12 meters along the large room of the Filanda di Monesiglio. The photos, printed on aluminum, are hanged on the two long sides and are illuminated by clamp LED spotlights anchored to wood slats fixed at the top of the structure. Four rows of shelves, for each of the 14 spans, ensure the solidity of the structure and allow for the display of objects and costumes used during the photo shoot. A series of diagonal elements, the oars, prevent overturning even in the event of impact. To ensure that the exhibition can be replicated everywhere, the entire structure is designed with prefabricated modular elements, making it easy to assemble and disassemble. The various elements, once no longer needed for the exhibition, can be reused as shelves, thus avoiding any type of waste.
