With the support of: Comune di MonesiglioThe workshop was organized with the aim of developing a series of interventions, set in the squares of Monesiglio, to deepen the phenomenology of public space in order to subvert its daily dynamics. The system of squares was reproduced in a smaller scale to serve as a stage for immersive events, ephemeral performances, colossal-scale installations, and mythical visions, all aimed at creating a collection of small Wunderkammer. The assembly of personal objects into imprecise reproductions of real places allowed for the convergence of the biographical and collective dimensions, suggesting hypotheses for the consolidation of the long-dormant urban identity through an exercise of reality distortion. Through the instrument of the conference, the evenings in Monesiglio were animated by a series of lecture to present utopian projects, irreverent events, and urban visions, while old acquaintances unveiled the details of local history through the words and images of those who experienced it. Station to Station aims to enrich real history with improbable details, elevating projects to a true local mythology.
