A small chapel sits atop a windy, enchanting, bucolic hill. A space still consecrated, but how much remains holy? How much, instead, profane? The ambition of the workshop is transform the small chapel of San Luigi, just a few steps from Cascina Crocetta, headquarter of the Banca del Fare project. Together with AMArchitectrue, the students have played with this space through new (unexpected) perspectives, which did not modify the existing but rather celebrated it. Using a few non-structural elements (wires, colors, light bulbs, furniture wheels, MDF panels, and mirrors), which allowed a certain freedom, it was possible to conceive a new space and ephemeral scenarios. The students built 17 elements, 17 stools, perhaps a choir, perhaps a seat, one for each of the participants and other extras for the numerous guests. In the church, 8 curtains are the protagonists of the space, a dynamic tool to alter the space, to change perspectives, to guide the view. 10 creatives were invited to take part in this project, each holding an evening conference during the workshop, to talk about their work and their concept of Holy and Moly. The day after, each guest was involved in a site-specific installation: creating one of the 10 paintings that decorate the 5 mirrored buttresses that, in some way, support the new chapel of San Luigi.
