The project was carried out between 2020 and 2023 by a team of professors, researchers, and students from the Polytechnic University of Turin, the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Grenoble, and the Université Grenoble-Alpes. The project proposes a revolution in urban design for the developing areas of Turin, adopting time as a key design element, promoting a gradual and sustainable transformation for a better and more resilient city. The project envisions six evolution scenarios for the former Scalo Valdocco, at the heart of Spina 3, one of the transformation areas outlined in the city's General Regulatory Plan (PRCG). Initially, the area is temporarily used, reclaiming the land through phytoremediation interventions, before being urbanized with new buildings and public spaces. From an architectural perspective, the project includes linear, semi-courtyard, and courtyard buildings with uniform design, low height, modularity, prefabrication in construction, and a direct relationship with the landscape through large openings, terraces, and green roofs. The buildings integrate into the context with a fabric of new public spaces and ground floors dedicated to social activities, while a series of small squares and courtyards define an open and permeable complex. Every available space is planted with trees and vegetation of varying heights to mitigate heat islands, atmospheric pollution, and extreme rainfall events. A new long frontage opens onto Corso Principe Oddone, providing the much-awaited connection between Parco Dora and the rest of the city.

The project was part of the Student as Researchers: Creative Practice and University Education exhibition, organized by the New York Institute of Technology as part of the 18. Biennale di Architettura di Venizia.
