Year: 2025 Inspired by Bruno Munari’s celebrated visual studies of geometric forms, first published in the early 1960s, Bruno moves beyond the boundaries between a seat, a small table and a lamp, finding its ideal place on the staircase, where movement and pause intersect. Its presence invites users to slow down and rediscover the value of small everyday gestures: sitting down to put on shoes, placing a cup or a book, or positioning small plants near a window without occupying the circulation space. The object does not prescribe a single use, but allows for different adaptations and interpretations, transforming the staircase from a simple passageway into a place to stop, wait or spend time together.

Bruno is made of untreated steel, with welded elements ensuring strength and stability. Its only non-metal component is a neon LED tube, attached to the structure with hooks and powered by a simple transparent electrical cable. To adapt to non-standard steps, Bruno is fitted with an adjustable screw foot capable of compensating for variations of approximately three to four centimetres.

Bruno was exhibited as part of the 2025 edition of F/A – DIS!NTEGRATE during Milan Design Week, at the Dropcity Center for Architecture and Design, from 3 to 13 April 2025.

In 2026, it was also presented as part of F/A – SeeSaw during Genoa Design Week, at the Convent of Santa Maria di Castello, from 3 to 7 June 2026.
